While we provide the same design services you’ll find at larger residential architectural firms, our low overhead and efficient processes allow us to design custom homes for a fraction of the cost. What’s more, we’re available to meet our clients wherever and whenever it’s most convenient for them.
We know how crazy life can be, so we want to make this as painless as possible!

Discovery Discussion
We meet with you to discuss your needs, goals, and limitations and to see if we’re the right partner for you.
Step 2:
Sketching & Planning
We create concepts of your dream home, which will include floor plans, exteriors, and 3D visualizations
Step 3:
Perfecting the Vision
We work closely with you to review and revise the concepts and ensure we’ve perfectly nailed your vision!
Step 4:
Ready-to-go Blueprints
We turn the approved concepts into full construction drawings that you can use to build your new home

Rosalinda
My name is Rosalinda Pianello and I’m the founder and lead architectural designer at RP Design Studio.
RP DESIGN STUDIO EST. 2012
After college, I worked at a small firm while doing freelancing on the side. Eventually, I had so much work that it became unsustainable. So I took a leap of faith in 2012 and RP Design Studio was born.
Today, we’re one of the most well-trusted residential architecture firms in our home state of Michigan. And we love what we do!
That’s why we’re always challenging ourselves. We’ve recently partnered with Vitale Real Estate and New Homes to expand our footprint. I’ve taken it upon myself to learn more about building materials and construction practices. And I’m learning new software that will transform the way we work.

If you have some ideas, photographs, or other design inspiration that you'd like to share with me at our initial meeting, great! If not, no worries, we will talk about what you'd love to see in your dream home, and how that fits in with your current lifestyle to create the perfect home for you and your family.

I break my projects into 2 main phases, the schematic design phase where I am coming up with the preliminary design and we are massaging those until everything is perfect, and the construction documentation phase where I am taking that perfected design and creating the technical documents needed to make it come to life. The first phase usually takes anywhere between 2 to 8 weeks, and the second phase usually takes about 3 weeks.

I base my pricing on a per square footage dollar amount. I will always be up front with my costs, and show you what options are available in my job proposal if you wish to add on services!

Yes! This is an option that I can provide to my customers. I work with an amazing artist that is really good at capturing the details and showing you what your dream home would look like in reality.

Simply put, no. I respect the work of other designers and hope that the same will be done to me. I always tell people if you want to show me something as an example, I'm open to that. But I will never copy a design outright. It's just not what I do!
